| Development Strategies in
the Alpine-Adriatic Region...

This is the first collection of studies to examine development problems
in regions around the Alps and Adriatic Sea. It focuses particularly on
those systems, which derive from common Central European roots, but which
have developed in different ways in the environment of their own national
system of government, whether it be unitary or federal.
The main themes examined by each of the contributors are the major modern
justifications of regional economies: interregional cooperation and innovative
development. As well as outlining the differences in the way these regional
systems have developed in time, the book also illustrates the common features
derived from the Central European "model".
As a contribution to the study of regional economies of the Alps-Adria
Working Community, the book will interest not only researchers, and Students
of Geography, Economics, Government and Politics but also practitioners
in the field of local and regional governments.
